Hefty’s #SaidNoSchoolEver Ad Campaign Is A Hilarious/Sad Look Into America’s Education System

It’s no secret that the American education system is struggling–this is a complex issue with many contributing factors, and it deserves much more than a one-sided article by The Creative Ham; this site isn’t the right place for that shitshow. Thus, I won’t get it, here. However, Hefty is stepping to the plate with the help from our friends at Havas Worldwide.

With back-to-school promotions kicking into high gear and education being a hot topic in the upcoming political election, Hefty is unveiling a provocative new online campaign today entitled #SaidNoSchoolEver. Comprised of online video (eespool näidatud), memes, sotsiaalmeedia, and influencer outreach, the campaign highlights (in a tongue in cheek way) the pervasive problem facing public schools across the country: lack of funding.

Hefty’s Pitch?

Support School Funding. Hefty is the only trash bag that supports Box Tops For Education, one of America’s largest school earnings loyalty programs. By simply clipping Box Tops coupons from hundreds of participating products, families can earn cash for their school to purchase books, field trips, playground equipment, classroom parties, etc. So far, America’s schools have earned over $600 million from Box Tops–with $3.5M dollars donated by Hefty.

Through #SaidNoSchoolEver, Hefty saw an opportunity to raise awareness for its products while tying the brand to a hot issue that is near and dear to its consumer base of moms with school-aged children. Through online videos and memes (shown below), the campaign highlights the funding plight many schools face and demonstrates the brand’s commitment to the cause. Veel, Hefty is also encouraging people on its social channels to tag teachers they know who “do it all” in order to show support and recognize the great teachers they know.

And the memes are great…
