Peyton Manning’s New Sunday Morning Ritual
We’re throwing it back with some new work from one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. But it’s quite clear that Peyton Manning retired from football so he could focus on his acting career. As a spokesperson for Papa John’s and Nationwide Insurance, the Sheriff is also working with DirecTV.
In Grey New York’s “Peyton on Sunday Mornings” campaign, we get a glimpse of Peyton’s post-NFL Sunday mornings, which he uses to watch NFL Sunday Ticket, on DirecTV, of course. And to harass his little brother Eli, who is still busy actually playing on Sundays for the New York Giants. Each spot starts with Lionel Ritchie’s 1977 hit, “Easy.” But instead of “easy like Sunday morning” it’s “Peyton on Sunday morning.” The campaign also includes print and social elements.
