When is the last time that you stepped outside of a client project (this includes side projects), and created for your own enjoyment? Passion projects keep us connected to the core of our creative being, and are an essential piece to loving what we do.

Carrie Krieger (norādīts iepriekš) is a graphic designer and artist out of New York, and her passion project caught our eye–a playful, growing collection of dog drawings.

Carrie tells The Butchery, “I majored in Art History and Studio Art, but when I graduated I never thought I would actually be able to create my own art, so I worked at Christie’s which is a famous Art Auction House in Manhattan. After working there for three years, I realized I wanted to make art, rather than work behind it.”

The project continues to grow in popularity, “I started doing commissions after getting noticed at the store and though social media such as Instagram. I have done drawings for client’s all over the world. My art has connected me with so many different people (and dogs) I would have never met, which is absolutely incredible. It is a wonderful thing to make art people love and can have custom made,” says Carrie.
