Cisco Ad Sees the World With a Brave Point of View

What a time to be alive. This isn’t Drake’s latest album, it’s Cisco’s view on the state of the world. As part of its effort to reintroduce the brand, Cisco worked with Goodby Silverstein & Partners on its global campaign “There’s Never Been a Better Time” that highlights the power of technology in the world today.

Cisco wants to empower people individually and collectively to do the impossible—because with Cisco technology even the impossible is possible. Will Elliott, creative director at GS&P emphasizes that we’re all capable of doing something amazing using technology as a tool. That attitude is reflected throughout the campaign and the TV spots.

One 60-second spot called “People in Crisis” focused on Cisco’s Tactical Operations Team (did anyone know they had a Special Ops team?!), which uses mobile technology to improve communication in times of crisis, like disaster relief or the European refugee dilemma. Another spot shows how Cisco technology can help save lives from dangerous work conditions like driving in a copper mine. Yabbadabbadoooooooooo!

The spots ran during the NBA playoffs on TNT channels, and the online buy includes the expected gamut of tech and business sites: Fast Company, Forbes, and the Atlantic. Cisco’s global campaign also included OOH and print work to drive home that there’s never better been a better time to be alive. We can’t help but agree: technology is a beautiful thing.
