Every Day of Your Life is Runday Funday in this Motivational Reebok Running Ad
If you ever needed more motivation to start (and keep) running, this Reebok ad is it. The one-minute film from Venables Bell & Partners will kick you into high gear by reminding you life is short—25,915 days short—and it’s your responsibility to honor the body you’ve been given by running your buns off every chance you get. Reebok makes it known that 25,915 is the average number of days in a human life.
Yan Martin, Reebok’s VP of global brand communications, said the message is just that simple: your time here is limited and running is a lifelong commitment to bettering oneself. The commercial focuses on the life of one woman: 60-year-old Debbie Suzuki. She’s a grandmother, mother, Spartan racer, Iron Man, runner, and most importantly, a real athlete. VB&P Creative Director Tom Scharpf says they always try to cast real-life athletes who live the brand—makes it feel more authentic.
The spot takes us through Debbie’s life in reverse, from her most recent Reebok-sponsored Spartan race to her first day on earth. She’s always been a runner, and Reebok has been her gear partner for life.
The ad challenges us all to “Be More Human” and take care of the bodies we’ve been given, and the “Be More Human” campaign challenge took to social media with the #HonorYourDays hashtag. 25,915 days is all you’ve got, so go get ‘em.
