NYC Sees More than Pink And Blue in Transgender Bathroom Rights Campaign

It’s not pink and blue. It’s black and white: “Use the restroom consistent with who you are.” That’s the message of the NYC Commission of Human Rights ad campaign for transgender bathroom rights. The campaign is the first of its kind: no other U.S. government body has publicly supported the divisive issue. But Mayor Bill de Blasio is making New York’s stance very clear: his office is “proudly standing with our transgender and gender non-conforming New Yorkers.”

The ads were placed in subway cars, bus shelters, and phone booths (do these still exist?) all over the city.
