A new campaign from DAVID the agency out of Miami features a series of actual fires at Burger King restaurants that are implied to have occurred because of their flame-broil grill. The images of the BK lounges feature building engulfed in flames, paired brilliantly with the simple slogan, “Flame Grilled Since 1954”.

The Ham’s Take

There are few things more powerful in advertising than a self-aware brand that’s willing to take risks. David knocked it out of the park with this self-deprecating piece. What better way to remind people that Burger King actually flame-broils its burgers than featuring the laughable human side to the equation: disaster. This is a big win for David, and for Burger King.
