Relive Steph Curry and Golden State’s 73-Win Season

Now that the NBA Finals are over, we can look back on what an incredible season it really was with this ad from Goodby Silverstein & Partners. GS&P put together the “Strength in Numbers” campaign to celebrate the Golden State Warriors’ 73-win season along with Steph Curry’s 2nd MVP award. The spots are goosebump inducing, and the black and white footage adds to the nostalgia and historical relevance of their accomplishment. We do wish that Steve Kerr would have gotten more of a shout-out, since he was the only guy involved in both record-breaking winning seasons, as a player for the Bulls and as Golden State’s head coach—definitely showing his “Strength in Numbers.”

The campaign also included OOH and branded pieces for inside Oracle Arena as well a new logo to represent “Strength in Numbers” where the “M” is actually a set of hash marks as seen in the videos.

And let’s not forget all the other momentous events from the 2015-2016 NBA Season: Kobe Bryant’s last game (“Mamba Out”), Kawhi Leonard almost cracked a smile when he accepted the Defensive Player of the Year Award, and all the speculation on whether or not Tim Duncan will return for another season. Guess that cat’s out of the bag.
