Overview

Propeller is looking for a Graphic Designer to be part of the in-house marketing team and partner with client and internal teams on the design and execution of presentations and other visual creative work. You will bring communications to life and make Propeller and its projects look their best. This position will be based out of Denver or Portland, but will support teams in multiple geographies.

As a Graphic Designer, you will:
Be a storyteller and problem solver to thoughtfully and powerfully communicate a message
Design engaging and effective presentations with a creative use of color, composition, photography and typography
Conduct clean-up of existing presentations, as well as recommend design options to elevate content and ideas
Contribute to the design of other creative assets, including infographics, social media content, brochures and more
Work with stakeholders around the business to visualize their ideas and abstract concepts
Adhere to and uphold Propeller brand guidelines, and leverage clients’ visual brand, depending on the project
Serve as a creative thought leader and partner to other Propeller team members, working in a collaborative environment
Work both independently and as part of a team, providing recommendations to teammates, and taking direction from senior team members
Grow with Propeller by supporting internal initiatives to uplift our people, processes, and market presence
Cultivate new skillsets based on your own professional development goals utilizing the learning and development budget provided by Propeller

You have:
3 – 5 years of graphic design experience
Strong portfolio of diverse design work, including presentation design
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
Experience with video editing applications such as Adobe Premiere or Adobe AfterEffects are a plus
Strong communication skills, including excellent grammar and punctuation
Aptitude for understanding business concepts and translating them into visually appealing designs
Excellent attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy and consistency
Understanding of design workflows with good organizational and project coordination skills
History of self-motivation and initiative; the ability to work unsupervised, independently, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Passion for design evidenced by staying current on trends and continually looking to advance skillset
Flexibility to occasionally finish projects on nights and weekends to meet design deadlines
The ability to demonstrate a legal right to work in the U.S.
Compensation:
We believe in fairly and equally compensating our employees for their time and experience. We do that by offering a competitive salary, uncapped bonus eligibility, an employee stock ownership program and many other benefits. The anticipated annual compensation range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000.

Location:
Propeller employees are currently working remotely, and our expectation is that the majority of work will continue to be done remotely through at least mid 2022. We are prioritizing choice and flexibility, so we are willing to help our employees negotiate an arrangement that works for them during this transition period. While we don’t have an exact timeline for when employees will return to offices, we do expect that they will return to offices in some capacity (most likely hybrid) and permanent remote work arrangements are not planned for Propeller employees.
