Google’s Transgender Commercial Just Blew Our Minds #BaconBits

Google has just released a new spot by Venables Bell & Partners for their Google My Business brand. The 2:39 spot is a nod to The City Gym, the transgender community, and small businesses everywhere:

Take ການ Ham ຂອງ

Not to be outdone by my cohort Ryan and his recent rally cry/post for knowledge, I thought I’d follow it up with a powerful spot for gender equality. #dramawars

Ryan is a massive Korean man and Google SMBC advisor, and I’m a gym rat with a 2-day habit. Needless to say, we’re definitely strong supporters of Jake, and of Ms. Hailee Bland Walsh’s statement that her gym “should be more than a place to workout. It should be a place to belong.”

This spot is a bold look into an under-served community that is consistent with Google’s efforts to promote diversity and equality. Its release, in the middle of National Pride Month, is also duly noted. Well played Venables Bell & Partners, and Google.
